Requesting
TIME: 9:11 PM DATE: Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Here're the rules:
graphics:
1. do not request from someone else after you have already requested from us. same goes in the reverse, do not request from us if you have already requested a graphic from someone else. (for the same story anyway.)
2. respect each staff member’s individual rules and abide by them when requesting from them.
3. if you are going to cancel your graphic request, please leave a comment on the shoutmix box.
4. follow the instructions on the application form, they are there to help you and us.
5. provide high quality pictures of original characters. if you fail to do so we will use our own pictures. you have been warned. it is also possible that some may use a different picture because it is easier for them to edit.
6. credit the creator! we don’t need an entire chapter dedication, we simply ask for a ‘poster credits go to (insert name here) from fantasyrequests.blogspot.com’ somewhere in the forewords. we do check this stuff, so the easier you make it to find, the least likely you are to get yelled at for not crediting. when i say 'easier', i mean putting it at the beginning or end of the forewords.
7. you have two weeks to post your requested graphic in your story. failure to do so, without good reason, will get you a permanent spot on our blacklist.
8. you must use the graphic(s) made for you! if you change them then you will be added to the blacklist, no excuses. also, do not alter the graphic(s) made for you. if you want something changed ask the designer to change it!
9. we are here to make main posters, backgrounds, and chapter images for your stories! if your requested artist makes chapter posters, please state that it will be a chapter poster in the extras section of the application! crediting for chapter posters should go at the end of the chapter!
10. if you want to change the person making your poster then let us know who you do want to make your poster by leaving a comment in the tagbox. it shouldn't be last minute. if the person who is initially assigned to make your poster has already started then you will not be allowed to switch. so, be certain about your choices.
11. no rated images!
-rated meaning private parts showing, sex, and/or gore (i.e. guts, disembodied
    limbs/parts, etc.)
12. depending on the artist you might have to upload it on your own hosting site. i will alert you if need be
13. comment in the shoutbox after you have picked up your request!

reviews:
1. do not be offended by what is said in your review. the comments on the review are the honest opinion of the reviewer. they are trying to help you be a better writer. the reviewer is not trying to bash you. do not bash your reviewer either, just because they gave you a bad review. if you bash your reviewer you will automatically be placed on the blacklist.
2. post the review in a new chapter, the review will have a credit and link section, just make sure you copy them as well when you pick up your review.
3. do not pick someone to review you at a level you are not ready for. if you can’t take a lot of criticism, then don’t request someone under the ‘strict’ section on the application.
4. if you decide to cancel your request, for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as possible. it would be a shame for the reviewer to get most of the way through your story, and then you cancel.
5. we will only be reviewing stories that are in english.
6. you may request reviews from other sites, for the same story. you are looking to be a better writer and most of the time the opinion of one person isn't enough.
7. we will not be accepting requests for a story that has less than eight chapters unless it is completed or a oneshot/collection of oneshots.
8. comment in the shoutbox after you have picked up your request and posted it in your story.
note about the application

under the ‘reviewer’ dropdown menu, when it says ‘anyone (moderate)’ then [insert reviewer’s name here] and so on, all those under ‘anyone (moderate)’ to ‘anyone (strict)’ are the moderate reviewers. meaning you are more likely to get a good score from them than those under the 'strict' section. moderately strict reviewers are not be as picky or opinionated as strict reviewers. When you pick the ‘anyone (moderate/strict)’ you get someone in that level that either has the fewest amount of requests to fulfill, or is best suited to read your review because it is along the lines of what they like/prefer to read.

one-shots:
1. respect each staff member’s rules when requesting.
2. do not copy and paste your requested oneshot into your own story link, we will consider this plagiarism and blacklist you without a second thought! even if you credit the writer, we will still blacklist you. your request will be posted in a story link on asianfanfics.com and will be there for you whenever you want it. we don't care if you copy and paste your oneshot into a word document, but i repeat do not post it in your own story link.
3. requests for oneshots may take a minimum of four weeks to be completed, but check on the writer's profile to get an estimated time. Some may take months, just because they are so busy.
4. do not bash, at all! if you bash the writer of your oneshot then you will be blacklisted.
5. you may request more than one oneshot from the writers here at playful melody, but no more than three at one time. you also cannot request two or more from the same author at any given time.
6. do not request a oneshot for a plot you have requested from someone else. it is insulting to both us and the other author to use a recycled plot.
7. you have two weeks to comment on your oneshot after it has been finished. if you do not comment we will add you to the blacklist.
8. comment in the shoutbox and on aff, after you have read your oneshot request.

trailers:
1. do not request to have a trailer made from another site after already requesting from us. and vice versa, do not request a trailer from us if you have already requested one from another site/person. (for the same story anyway.)
2. respect the time limit set by the person you are requesting from. some people don’t have as much free time as others.
3. if you are going to cancel your request, please let us know before your trailer has been started.
4. when your request is done comment on the video! also comment in the shoutbox.
5. when filling out the form, make sure to provide high definition videos!
6. credit the person who made your trailer! credits should be right above or below the video in the foreword! that's right, the embedded video has to go in the foreword of your story, if it's in a chapter i'll give you a warning to put it in the proper place. failure to comply will get you blacklisted. (this is so we can see that you are using the video made for you.)
7. you have two weeks to embed the video in the foreword of your story, if you do not do so within those two weeks, without proper cause, you will be blacklisted.
8. be detailed in your application. it's hard to make you a trailer when there isn't much detail! i can't stress enough the importance of being specific and detailed!
9. you must provide links to high quality/high definition videos and songs with good audio! do not leave it up to the designer to choose! it only makes it harder for them if they have to find you a song and all the videos!

backlisting:
1. bashing. there is no need to be rude to those who took their time to work on something
2. breaking the rules. you will get two chances to redeem yourself, not three because i don't feel that generous today
